Our office has been contacted by an area resident, speaking on behalf of other affected residents, regarding an erected concrete block wall separating IQ 1 Parking from IQ 2 Parking on parking level P3 as part of construction at 1185 The Queensway site.

There was some confusion around who’s decision it was to erect the wall – the City or Remington? The letter below confirms by Richmond Architects that the City made it a requirement during the building permit process as part of the Building Code Consultant Report (see letter here):

Wheel-Trans 10 Year Strategy Public Meetings

The TTC will be hosting a series of public meetings in April where staff will provide an update and request feedback on the Wheel-Trans 10- Year Strategy. The update will include more details on the expansion of the Family of Services Pilot, Access Hubs and the Community Bus pilot routes. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide input on each of these initiatives.

QEW Improvements from West of Etobicoke Creek to The East Mall – Notice of Design and Construction Report

We just received the Notice of Design and Construction Report (DCR) Submission for the Ministry of Transportation’s proposed improvements to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) from west of Etobicoke Creek to The East Mall,  located in the City of Mississauga and City of Toronto.

The DCR is available for a 30-day public review period commencing March 22, 2018 on the project website at A separate DCR will be prepared for Contract 2 at a later date.

NAV CANADA and the GTAA Community Consultation on Noise Mitigation [DETAILS]

NAV CANADA and the GTAA are hosting a Community Consultation on proposals that are aimed at reducing noise impacts for residents around the Greater Toronto Area.

The proposals include: new flight paths for overnight flights, changes to the preferential runway system and a summer weekend runway alternation program.
